For the past 11 years my professional life has allowed me to make between five and ten trips to the Bay Area per year. While on these trips, I never miss the chance to run in the shadow of the Golden Gate and once per San Francisco trip I make sure to get to the other side of the bridge and run back to the city.

Tomorrow’s First Round Capital Office Hours are sold out, but if you can run and talk, join me tomorrow at 6:15 -ish for my pilgimage to the Sausalito side of the bay and the run home. The route is 7-8 miles and I plan to run as fast as 7:15 per mile or as slow as 8:00 per mile depending on the pace of the conversation.

The goal of Office Hours is to create an opportunity for the First Round investment team to meet local entrepreneurs and engage with them to address challenges, answer questions and provide advice rather than listen to pitches and evaluate investment risks.
While participating in this event I had the opportunity to meet many phenomenal entrepreneurs and learn about their companies, do my best to help them think through challenges they were currently facing and brainstorm with them about strategies they might pursue to move towards their goals.  I love thinking about lots of new ideas and operating in a world where anything is possible. The opportunity to think like this was one of the reasons I chose to join First Round and I want to thank all the entrepreneurs who participated for making Office Hours NYC a total success. I hope you all got as much out of it as I did.
